The SI consisted of advancing test pits, soil borings using the direct push method, and a Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Survey used to identify any underground piping, USTs and/or septic systems at the site. The SI identified the presence of petroleum, solvent, semi-volatile organic compound, and metals impacted soil and groundwater related to current and historical releases at the site as well as historical fill. A historical fill layer was observed in portions of the site that were previously wetland areas prior to the 1960's. The GPR survey identified several anomalies believed to be abandoned petroleum underground storage tanks (USTs) utilized by former buildings located on the property.
